The third Go7 Cup reached full capacity, with 37 players participating in this year’s edition, bringing together players from 8 countries, nearly half of whom were under 18!
From an organizational perspective, everything went smoothly. A big thank you goes to all players and Go7 members who helped arrange the club space to accommodate everyone. Special thanks to those who contributed by baking the delicious cakes and cookies!
From the referee side, there is one important note for future events: players in the top McMahon group (typically the top 8, 12, or 16 players) are expected to play all rounds. Just… try to remember this 🙂
As for the results, the three highest-ranked players – Elian, Stjepan, and Lothar – all faced each other. Elian emerged as the winner, securing first place by winning both of his key games. Lothar won against Stjepan and became the Go7 vice-champion.
The best U18 player was Oliver from Croatia, while Lilly was the top female player – congratulations to both!
Finally, a special mention goes to the tournament’s standout performers: Konstantin achieved an impressive 5/5 score, while Christian and Valentin followed with strong 4/5 results.
